Enjoyed the film immensely.

I guess when you stop trying to analyze plots and look for coherence, the characters really do "come" to you, like what Trinh T. Minh-Ha calls catching a feather [story] by holding out your hand...

Also liked how the characters each spoke in their "natural" tongue - Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese. Rather than making the film feel fragmented, it gave me an odd sense of inclusion and realism...
